Launch of the ZX Spectrum - click to view full size

Ah, happy days. The ZX Spectrum Rubber Keyboard was the first home computer I had and I loved it. It was the computer that introduced me to computer programming and I guess helped me on my path towards my career today (Website Programmer).

I even bought a 3.5 inch disk drive addon called Opus Discovery which allowed me to get rid of the need of tapes for games and programming projects.

One of the greatest magazines I remember getting for the ZX Spectrum was called 16/48, the magazine had a cassette on the front and featured all sorts of games, utilities. The second most influential Spectrum (and other formats) magazine for me was Input, a massive monthly magazine with endless pieces of code in all the 8Bit formats for you to type in and experiment with (The machine code segments were rather boring to type in). This was probably the magazine that really got me coding my own games.

I actually still have my ZX Spectrum 48K and my ZX Spectrum 128+ 2 in my loft at home.
