Roswell UFO Incident


The Roswell incident is one those events that is shrouded in conspiracy theories, and you can easily see why just by reading through the reports. At one point the army official states a flying saucer crashed, only to retract it moments later saying it was actually a weather balloon. Way to fishy. And there have been dozens of other reports from the town's folk of Roswell who were present at the crash site whilst it was being covered up.

Although I wasn't born until 30 years after the 'incident' I still believe that it is one of the most important questions that still hasn't been answered; Are we alone?

This question seems to envoke 3 possible answers from people; 1. Yes, we are alone, 2. Aliens are already hear, 3. We are not alone but they haven't visited us.

Personally I believe option 2, although option 3 is also very plausible. Those that answer 'We are alone' must have very closed minds, how can anyone state that out of the billions of planets in the universe that the Earth is the one and only planet that is capable of supporting life. Scientists in 2007 have already found more than 100 worlds within our galaxy that can be categorised as Earth type.

Religious theists enjoy stating that the chance of Alien life existing anywhere is 1 billion to 1, fortunately this argument is defeated by their own statement. We (scientists) already know that there are at least 1 billion billion planets in the universe, so if the chance of alien life being on those is 1,000,000,000:1 then there must be 1 billion worlds out there with intelligent life.

But whatever you believe the Roswell Incident is one of those pivotal moments in history that makes you think what does the Government know? What aren't they telling us? And did man really develop some of the technology we use or was it reversed engineered Alien Tech.

One day we will know the truth, and with any luck it will be within my life time.
