Eric the great!

Eric Clapton Live at the Albert Hall 2009



This was the second time I have seen Eric play at the Albert Hall- although in terms of sheer technical prowess Eric gets no where near someone like Joe Satriani who when I saw him it was just breath taking to see what he can do on a guitar....BUT for sheer feel, cool professionalism, and tone Eric still delivers...absolutely!
What agreat night.
Again it was interesting to compare him to Joe Bonamassa who I had seen only 2 weeks before also at the Albert Hall. Joe has ceratinly taken up Eric's mantle and for energy, fun , attitude and aggression Joe begins to win hands down-BUT again when it come to a slightly understated masterclass of guitar and blues vocals.... Eric is still a great!
