UK Snow Storm 2009



It always amazes me that as soon as the UK gets the slightest bit of bad weather the whole country grinds to a halt, and everyone goes on a mad panic buying spree as if the UK is closing down for months.

Well, the council has a weeks notice to get everything ready, I live on a bus route and because the council failed completely to grit the roads there were no buses all day and the roads were 6 inches deep in snow and ice.

The M25 was closed just about everywhere, and so after watching the reports in the morning, I had to resign to the fact that it would be easier and safer to work from home.

Photo is taken from my computer room in Kent looking across to the M2 Motorway bridge at Strood which you can just about make out middle right.
