A NATIONAL DAY OF REMEMBERANCE

I just happened to be on holiday in Washington DC during Memorial Day back in 2007 and I remember visiting Arlington Cemetery on the actual day. It was packed with hundreds and hundreds of people, and they were all awaiting the arrival of the President. Apparently there is a huge list of people each year trying to get a slot to visit the cemetery and hear the President speak.

The tour I was with ensured that we had left before the cemetery got any busier.
