Andy Murray became the first British player to win the title at Queen's since Bunny Austin (1938). This year, he clinched four titles (Doha, Rotterdam and Miami), in addition to being runner-up at Indian Wells; still, this is his first celebration on grass.

The Scottish player's huge game performed at Barons Court overpowered James Blake, who took everyone by surprise after reaching ATP Estoril final (clay), tough he lost to Spaniard Albert Montanes.

Murray reached the finals after having ousted Juan Carlos Ferrero 6-2, 6-4.
