Caravan Grand Prix 2009

Angmering Raceway in West Sussex provided the venue as drivers in the British Caravan Grand Prix got their own back on the cause of many a holiday traffic jam.

The stripped-down vans meant most topple over way before the finish line, turning the race into a demolition derby.

A huge pile-up forced the organisers to stop the action for ten minutes while they tried to help drivers untangle themselves from the wreckage.

Piers Bruton from Bognor Regis was victorious after the ten-lap race.
