The Reading Festival 2008 took place on the bank holiday weekend, from Friday 22nd to Sunday 24th August at Little Johns Farm, Richfield Avenue, Reading, Berkshire. The line-up over six stages included some of the biggest names in rock and pop.

The Main Stage at Reading saw Rage Against The Machine, The Killers, and Metallica headlining. Included in the main stage was Queens Of The Stone Age, The Fratellis, The Enemy, Biffy Clyro, Serj Tankian, Dizzee Rascal, Taking Back Sunday, Get Cape, Wear Cape, Fly, Anti-Flag, Bloc Party, The Raconteurs, Editors, We Are Scientists, Dirty Pretty Things,The Subways, Tenacious D, Slipknot, Feeder, Avenged Sevenfold, and Dropkick Murphys.

It stayed mostly dry (unlike other years 1977!) and was a sell out.
