Andy Murray vs Richard Gasquet Wimbledon 2008
Andy Murray experienced his "best moment on a tennis court" when he came from two sets down against France's Richard Gasquet to reach the quarter-finals of Wimbledon 2008 for the first time. He went on to meet Rafael Nadal, the world No 2, in the Quarter Final.
"The crowd were unbelievable. That's such an awesome feeling. That's the best moment I've had on a tennis court," Murray said after his 5-7, 3-6, 7-6, 6-2, 6-4 victory over Gasquet, the world No 10 and a semi-finalist last summer. Gasquet served for a straight-sets victory at 5-4 in the third set, but it was then that Murray broke the Frenchman for the first time in the match, and the British No 1 kept the momentum going to take that set on a tie-break, and then the fourth and fifth sets too.
