The 2008 Champions league final was set to be an all English final with Man Utd and Chelsea coming head to head in this prestigious event. Many fans couldn't make ther journey to Moscow for the final as the return trip cost around £1500. But for the many thousands that did, it proved to be a great game with it's share of tension, goals and the envitable penalty shoot out after the teams were still level after extra time. Both goals were scored in the first half by Ronaldo for Man Utd and a last minute equaliser by Frank Lampard for Chelsea. Chelsea had the better second half but Man Utd's nerve held when it counted and Van De Sar's save and John Terrys missed penalty were the undoing of Chelsea.
