What is History? - It is simply what people record as history!

Just in the same way that Wikipedia has become the online dictionary and encyclopaedia, and Myspace has become the online community for individuals to connect, mytimeinhistory.com seeks to become the online record of "history" full of memories and great personal stories of magic moments, events and occasions.

The purpose of this website is simple ... To build an online community of people who can say ... "I was there!", and then be connected to others who shared that magic moment and were there too!

The site launched during the week of 10th December 2007 to coincide with the most talked about music event of 2007, namely the Led Zeppelin gig at the O2 Arena, London.

The site has fantastic capabilities, it is simple to use, and could appeal to millions worldwide who want to tell their story, connect with others who want to share in the moment, sell memorabilia or purchase relevant content to their event or story from Amazon, or buy tickets for future events!

"We started this as there is simply no single place on the web that records all the great moments big and small in our history – But gives the opportunity for those personal stories, insights and reflections. Everyone has had their 5 minutes of fame ... So tell the world your story”

"We see this as a source of fun , community, and desktop journalism for all music fans, sports fans and those who just want to tell their story ... For example what were you doing the day Diana died? Did you go to the Led Zep gig - what was it like? Who's out there who was at the 1966 World Cup final, D Day, or who was in New York on 9/11?

"Anybody can make history but only great people can write it" Oscar Wilde
